Hi! I’m Sophie
I’m passionate about needle felting and absolutely love fungi! With over 10+ years teaching experience, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know thousands of students around the world in my online communities, helping them create beautiful felted art they’re truly proud of.
Needle felting with me is simple, fun, and joyful! With just a single felting needle and a few wool colours, you’ll discover how easy it is to bring your creativity to life. Being creative shouldn’t feel overwhelming—that 's why you'll LOVE taking part in my fun and relaxed workshops!
And if you’re a fellow fungi lover, you’re in great company! We can’t wait to welcome you into our creative community and help you get started.

Painting with Wool Workshop

Painting with wool is so much fun and far easier than actually painting. With my help you'll pick up the technique quickly and won't want to stop at just one picture!
Creative Session

The culmination of our week together is a fun creative session where I share with you ways to display and show off your creations. You'll leave feeling inspired with your head FULL of ideas!

What's Included

Materials Used
(detailed supplies list provided on registration)
- Wool batting – White, red, maroon, brown, green and orange. Wool batting is preferable, but use what you have to hand.
- A Square of felt for your picture 8x8 inches
- 38G star felting needles
- Sponge Base or felted mat to support your hands and work (a rolled up towel also works)
- Ink pen to transfer the image (no need to be able to draw - I'll show you how)
- Optional embroidery 5 inch hoop to frame your masterpiece.

What do I need to do to prepare for Autumn Felt Week?
All you need to do is gather your supplies and print your downloads included in the Autumn Felt Week Portal Page - a place specifically to help you get prepared. Our first lesson at 4pm UK // 8am PT // 11am ET on October 14 will be a materials demo and kick-off celebration, where Sophie will show you how to prepare for the week’s needle felt lessons.
How can I watch the lessons live?
The live lessons will be streamed into the Autumn Felt Week Facebook Group Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday 4pm UK // 8am PT // 11am ET.
How can I watch lesson replays?
You can find the lesson replays linked on the Autumn Felt Week Portal Page - a central place specifically to support you throughout the week. Replays will also be in the private Facebook group.
